As a former member of the Optimist club, I remember the Creed and find strength in its guidance. As a christian and student of God's Word, I find strength and confidence in the "original" version of the Optimist creed. When one's vision is focused beyond the temporary, optimism is much easier to exhibit.

GREAT article! I just wrote something on the same subject on my own leadership blog, with some tips for leaders during these challenging times. I called my post "These are the BEST of Times!" and suggested that leaders focus on self-care, self-talk, and self-development.

We all need to remind ourselves we aren't the victims of circumstances, we are the leaders we're waiting for.

Sure, time's are tough. They've been tough before, and we got stronger and better because of how we handled them.

Stay optimistic!
