Ralph Waldo Emerson and Why Leadership

Ralph Waldo Emerson provided one of the best descriptions for the emphasis and need for leadership. The essayist, poet, and philosopher of the nineteenth century quoted “why” leadership:

“Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
